How does the booking request, quotations and payments work?
After receiving your rental request, we will send a final quotation. Your booking will be confirmed once you agree to the quotation, and proceed with the requested payment including possible deposits. When you finish the workday at the Studio or when you return back the equipment, after we check and test it, your deposit will be credited immediately(when applicable), and you will be invoiced for the final payment. Is a deposit always required? No, a deposit is not always required. When required, the amount is mentioned in the quotation of your booking. WAAT Studio has the right to decide whether or not to charge a deposit value. Please contact us and we will clarify any question you may have concerning this theme.
Will I immediately get my deposit back when I return the products?
Yes, we credit the deposit as soon as the equipment is returned and tested or as soon as we verify the conditions of the Studio.
What are my payment options?
You can pay via bank transfer. Proof of transfer must be sent to email@example.com.
Do products have Insurance?
When used inside WAAT Studio, some products are covered by an insurance, but only up to some extent. When used outside WAAT Studio, no product is insured, due to the Portuguese legislation
How will I be responsible in case of loss, damage (under my responsibility) or theft/robbery of a product?
In any of this , you will be held responsible. In these unfortunate and rare events, please contact us immediately so that we can look for ways of solving the problem.
At what times can products be collected and returned?
WAAT Studio: You can pick up the equipment one day before the start of the booking date between 14:00 and 18:00 (p.m.). Return must be done until 11:00 (a.m.) the day after the end of your booking.
On site (shooting location) – this option is subject to transportation costs: We can deliver the equipment on site until 08:00 (a.m.) of the first day of booking. We can collect the equipment on the last day of booking (until 20:00 p.m.) or the day after the end of your booking until 11:00 (a.m.).
If this is not convenient or you need to arrange pickup/collection/delivery/return differently, please make a note in the remarks field of your booking and we will do our best to comply with your request.
How about bookings during the weekends? Bookings during weekends are available. We will contact you to discuss a suitable solution either for the studio rental or for delivery and collecting equipment throughout weekend days.
What are the ultimate deadlines to return the equipment myself to WAAT Studio?
The day after your last booking day, before 11:00 (a.m.)
What are the consequences if I am too late for the delivery of the products or if I return the product too late?
Extra costs can be charged for late returns. The amount will depend on the circumstances and number of hours delayed. If you are dealing with any kind of incident regarding equipment delivery, you should let us know as soon as possible by phone.
What is the ultimate deadline to book a rental?
We need your approval of the quotation and the completed payment (according to the agreed conditions) no later than 15:00 (p.m.) on the previous day.
Can I send someone else to collect and return the equipment?
When booking your rental, you need to supply your ID card. You will take full responsibility for the rental, and equipment will only be delivered and collected from you, unless you formalise via written authorisation to trust a third party, and supply their ID number and name.
Can I make a reservation of equipment or studio rental?
Yes, that is possible, we can hold a reservation for 24hrs. Please indicate this in the remarks field when you make your booking. Nevertheless, contact us and let us know of any constraints or needs you have. We will do our best to help you with the best reservation option. This way you will avoid that the products are released to other customers.
Can I change or cancel my rental booking?
Cancelled bookings up to 24 hours before the first booking date, will be charged the total of the first rental day. Modified bookings up to 24 hours before the first booking date will be charged with 40% of the first rental day.
What happens if the equipment is broken or if it has defects when I try to use it?
All equipment will be carefully tested before the rental. If, in a rare case, something is wrong with it and not working properly, we will do our best to deliver a replacement as soon as possible. Call us as soon as you unexpectedly detect a problem in the supplied equipment.
Is sub-hiring allowed?
We allow our equipment to be used to sub-hire. This needs to be communicated to WAAT Studio, informing who will be the responsible for using the equipment and the location where they will be used. The responsible for the booking will always be responsible for the conditions of the equipment.
WAAT Studio Equipment is not authorized to be used with drones or with unmanned aerial vehicles.
