Features

Subtle dimming with a touch of “airy” fill.

The Single White Net is a specialized modifier that provides a very gentle reduction in light while adding a unique “glow” to the scene. Because the netting is white, it catches some of the light passing through it and scatters it slightly—acting like a hybrid between a dimmer and a very weak reflector.
Softens Contrast, Not Sharpness: Unlike a silk, it doesn’t “smear” the light. It allows the core direction of the light to remain sharp but “lifts” the shadows slightly as the white mesh reflects light back into the scene.
0.6 Stop Reduction: It cuts the light by approximately half a stop (0.6 stops). This is the most subtle way to knock down a hot spot on a background or a subject’s skin.
Atmospheric “Bloom”: It can be used to create a very subtle “haze” or romantic feel, especially when placed near the lens or when used to “wash” a dark area with a tiny bit of ambient bounce.
Open-End Frame: The three-sided frame design allows for “seamless feathering.” You can place the edge of the net across a subject without a hard shadow line from the metal frame appearing in the shot.
