Precision intensity control without the “glow.”

The Double Black Net is a specialized grip tool used to reduce the intensity of a light source without changing its quality. Unlike a silk, which diffuses and softens the light, a black net acts like a professional “dimmer switch” for specific parts of your frame, maintaining the original texture and direction of the light.
Dual-Layer Mesh: Constructed with two layers of black net material, it provides a significant reduction in light output while remaining virtually invisible to the camera if placed properly.
Maintains Contrast: Because the netting is black, it does not scatter light or create “internal flare” (unlike white nets). Your shadows remain deep and your highlights stay “crisp.”
1.2 Stop Reduction: It cuts the light by approximately 1.2 stops. This is ideal for “knocking down” a light that is too bright on a subject’s forehead or shoulder without needing to move the light stand.
Open-End Frame: Like all professional flags, the 24×36″ frame is open on one side. This allows you to “feather” the edge of the light seamlessly into the scene without a hard metal shadow line.
