The Artificial Silk is a heavy-duty diffusion flag that acts as a mobile window, transforming any hard, directional light source into a soft, beautiful glow. Measuring 24×36 inches (industry standard “2×3”), it is the perfect size for headshots, tabletop products, or controlling a specific area of a larger set.
Significant Softening: It provides a heavy diffusion that effectively hides the shape of the light source, creating a “wrapping” light that minimizes skin imperfections and harsh transitions.
Light Reduction: Expect a light loss of approximately 1.6 stops. This allows you to use high-output lights at close range without overexposing your subject.
Open-End Design: The frame is open on one side (no metal border on the fourth edge). This allows you to “feather” the light without a hard frame line appearing in your shot or on your background.
