The Epson EMP-X5 (often referred to simply as the X5) is a legacy XGA projector known for its portability and 3LCD technology. While it lacks modern digital inputs like HDMI, it remains a common find in education and small business environments due to its straightforward operation and durable E-TORL lamp.
3LCD Technology: Unlike many projectors in its era that used a single-chip DLP (which can cause a “rainbow effect”), the EMP-X5 uses three LCD chips to deliver consistent, vibrant colors and a high color light output.
Portable & Quick: Weighing just 2.7 kg, it was designed for presenters on the move. It features “Instant Off,” allowing you to pack up and leave immediately without waiting for a long cooling cycle.
AV Mute Slide: A physical slide cover for the lens that also serves as a “pause” button—closing it instantly mutes the picture and sound so the audience can focus back on the speaker.
Auto Keystone: It includes automatic vertical keystone correction, which squared the image automatically if the projector was tilted upward at a screen.
