The Profoto Deep Silver series is far from a standard umbrella. Its unique, deep parabolic shape allows you to control the light spread by simply sliding the umbrella shaft in and out of the flash head. The silver interior provides a high-contrast, “crisp” light with significantly more output and “reach” than white or translucent versions.
Parabolic Shape: The deep curve provides much better control over light spill compared to a shallow umbrella. It focuses the light, acting more like a giant, soft reflector.
High-Contrast Silver: The silver coating adds a “sparkle” to the light. It emphasizes textures—perfect for fashion, beauty, and athletic portraits—while keeping the shadows deep and defined.
Focusable Light: By moving the umbrella closer to or further from the light source, you can “zoom” the beam, switching from a wide, even flood to a concentrated, narrow hotspot.

Extra Large (XL) – 165cm (65″) – Massive, wrapping light with silver “snap.” Used for large sets, cars, or group shots where you still want directional contrast.
