The RFi 2×2′ is arguably the most popular “all-rounder” in the Profoto softbox family. Its square shape and mid-range size make it incredibly versatile—small enough to be used in tight home studios or on location, yet large enough to provide a beautifully soft, wrapping light for classic portraiture.
Symmetrical Light Spread: The square 60x60cm dimensions provide a perfectly even light distribution in all directions. This makes it an ideal “Key Light” for headshots, as the fall-off is consistent whether your subject moves vertically or horizontally.
Classic Square Catchlights: Produces a clean, square reflection in the eyes or on reflective surfaces, mimicking the look of a window—a favorite for corporate headshots and commercial photography.
Deep Recessed Front (RFi): Like its siblings, the recessed design gives you a high degree of control over light spill. It allows you to “feather” the light across a subject’s face without it hitting the background.
Double-Layer Diffusion: The combination of the internal baffle and the front diffusion sheet creates a “softness-to-size” ratio that punches well above its weight, effectively eliminating the harshness of a bare flash head.
