The RFi 1×6′ is the largest strip softbox in the Profoto lineup. Standing at 180cm (nearly 6 feet) tall, it is a specialized tool designed to provide a massive, unbroken vertical line of light. It is the gold standard for high-end automotive photography, full-length fashion editorials, and commercial product shoots involving tall objects like skis, furniture, or bicycles.
Massive Vertical Span: Its 180cm height allows it to illuminate a standing subject from well above the head to well below the feet, even when the subject is jumping or in motion.
Flawless Reflections: In automotive or “liquid” photography, the 1×6′ creates a single, continuous highlight (reflection) along the entire side of a car or a large bottle, eliminating the “breaks” in light that occur with smaller softboxes.
Surgical Precision: Despite its massive height, it remains only 30cm wide. This allows you to place a “wall of light” right next to your subject while keeping the light off the background with incredible accuracy.
Premium RFi Construction: Like all RFi (Recessed Front Improved) modifiers, it features a deep recess for better light direction and a dual-layer diffusion system to ensure even light density from top to bottom.
