The RFi 1×3′ is a narrow rectangular softbox, commonly referred to as a “strip box.” Its elongated shape is designed specifically to provide a long, thin column of light, making it a favorite for fashion, commercial, and automotive photographers who need precise control over the “shape” of their highlights.
Signature Rim & Edge Lighting: The narrow profile makes it the ideal tool for “rim lighting” (lighting the subject from behind or the side). It creates a beautiful, long highlight that defines the contours of a model’s body or the sleek lines of a product.
Recessed Front (RFi): The deep, recessed edge provides excellent directionality and minimizes light spill onto the background, allowing you to light the subject without washing out the rest of your set.
Dual-Layer Diffusion: Includes both an internal and external diffuser. This double-layer system ensures the light is perfectly even from the top of the 90cm strip to the bottom, eliminating “hot spots.”
High-Heat Resistance: Built with premium, heavy-duty fabrics, this softbox is compatible with powerful studio heads (like the D2 or Pro-10) and can withstand the heat of high-wattage halogen modeling lamps.
