The RFi (Recessed Front Improved) series is Profoto’s premier line of softboxes, known for their extreme durability and high-quality light distribution. The 1×1.3′ (30x40cm) is the most compact rectangular softbox in the family, making it an indispensable tool for product photography, tight headshots, and “accent” lighting.
Superior Light Quality: Featuring a highly reflective silver interior and two layers of diffusion (internal and external), this softbox eliminates hot spots and provides a remarkably even, soft light despite its small size.
Recessed Front: The “RFi” name refers to the recessed front edge. This design allows you to control light spill more effectively and makes it easy to attach an optional honeycomb grid for even more directional control.
Built to Last: Constructed from heat-resistant, high-quality fabrics with reinforced seams and pockets. It is designed to withstand the heat of high-wattage modeling lamps (like those in the D2 or Pro-Heads) and the rigors of daily rental use.
