The Canon EOS R was Canon’s first full-frame mirrorless camera, bridging the gap between the familiar world of the 5D series and the future of the RF mount. It uses a specialized version of the highly regarded 30.3MP sensor found in the 5D Mark IV but places it in a slimmer, more modern body with a fully articulating screen and a unique, customizable interface.
30.3 MP Full-Frame Sensor: Delivers stunning image quality with high dynamic range and excellent low-light performance. It produces the same rich, professional “look” as the 5D series but with the benefits of mirrorless precision.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF: Offers an incredible 5,655 selectable AF points covering nearly 100% of the frame. It can focus in near-total darkness (down to -6 EV), making it a powerhouse for wedding ceremonies and moody night photography.
The RF Mount: The 54mm wide diameter and short flange distance allow for a new generation of lenses that are sharper, faster, and more compact.
Multi-Function Bar: A unique, touch-sensitive strip on the back that can be programmed to control ISO, White Balance, or AF modes with a simple swipe or tap.
